Frequently Asked Questions

VacPans are sometimes called automatic dustpans. They are an inlet fitted to your wall at floor level. You simply sweep the dirt and dust on the floor to the inlet, turn the system on with your foot, and the dirt and dust get sucked away. You don’t even have to bend over.

High quality filtration means it is not necessary to exhaust the power unit outside.

Normally, you will need one inlet to cover about 75 square meters. In most homes, this will cover a hallway and a few bedrooms, with the inlet usually fitted in the hallway. It is important to ensure the inlet is not in a place that can be obstructed, such as close to furniture.

If you are competent with DIY, yes. Installation takes about a day in an average size house. Usually, it involves running the tubing and wires through the less visible parts of your home such as pantries, air ducts, soffits, etc.

You should install your central vacuum system after the plumbing and electrical work is finished but before you put up the gib/drywall.
